Race to Remember

Race to Remember

Uncategorized

Without a doubt, last weekend’s Race to Remember was one of the most heart-felt events we’ve ever worked.

Mamie’s Poppy Plates, the non-profit organization behind the charitable race, works to provide a tangible memento to families who suffer stillbirth or infant death.  They create a beautiful customized plate with the baby’s footprints, name and birth information to serve as a timeless reminder of their baby’s brief yet profound life.

Our hearts ache at this cruel reality, but are also filled with love and admiration for people like Sarah Adams, who has turned her own loss into something that does so much good for other’s affected by it. (Read Sarah and sweet Mamie’s story here.)

In less than a few years, Mamie’s Poppy Plates are now offered, free of charge, in dozens of hospitals across Arkansas, Texas, and Tennessee. The Race to Remember fundraiser organizes hundreds of families who walk/run in memory of a baby who was taken from them way too soon. This year’s event, held at Dickey Stephen’s Park in NLR, and was a joyous occasion filled with hope, love and lots of laughter, and we were humbled and honored to be a part of it.

Holy Marathon, Batman!

Holy Marathon, Batman!

Events

When you own a photo booth, most every subject is somewhat costumed up. That’s why we have so many props to choose from. But Sunday’s event for the Little Rock Marathon was a real treat when so many of the race participants came to the post-party in their fabulous racing attire. This year they went with the EPIC super hero comic book theme and all I can saw is WOW! (I need some sparks flying out of that WOW but hopefully you can visualize it just the same.)

Although the weather was horrendous, these guys proved their super-human strength and battled the freezing rain and temps to finish strong and still have the energy to party like rock-stars! The post-party was held at the State House and the race volunteers did the most amazing job on the decor! It was a spectacular event; with over 1,000 people (or more- i just know we took over 1000 pics!) in attendance, an awesome DJ and dance floor, great food and drinks, and of course, our humble little photo booth 🙂

Here are some of our favorite costumes of the night.

A link to all the awesome pictures can be found here. Thank you so much to the entire team at the Little Rock Marathon for the opportunity and helping make some awesome props and the super cool backdrop. We loved every minute of being there and can’t wait to work with you again!
