Events

Who knew that Fall was going to be our busiest season!!! We’ve had such an influx of events lately it’s a wonder we can still hold our day jobs. From weddings to wine, Elvis to education; our little booth has snapped thousands of lips & mustaches in the past few weeks!

And lucky us, two of those events just happened to center around one of our favorite red or white beverage- wine! Big Brothers & Big Sister of Central Arkansas impressed more than 500 women in Little Rock with their lavishly decorated Wine, Women & Shoes event last Thursday, and The American Heart Association turned Dickey Stephens baseball park into a Wine Festival straight out of Napa. Both charitable events raised thousands of dollars for their cause and thanked their attendees with delicious wine & fabulous auction items. We even had a few sips on the job! Just don’t tell our boss… 🙂

We also really enjoyed getting to design the 4×6 layouts for these events, and just like the charities, we can’t pick a favorite. (Although I think we got the backdrops mixed up…)

And finally, what you’ve all been waiting for and what a Photo Booth couldn’t exist without: people with props! We’re not trying to brag or anything, but we think our booth takes some of the bests pictures in the industry… Going the extra mile to help position our posers really makes a difference in the quality and composition of the pics- that photography class in college is really paying off in the biz! And of course, our lovely subjects are so darn photogenic…

Race to Remember

Race to Remember

Uncategorized

Without a doubt, last weekend’s Race to Remember was one of the most heart-felt events we’ve ever worked.

Mamie’s Poppy Plates, the non-profit organization behind the charitable race, works to provide a tangible memento to families who suffer stillbirth or infant death.  They create a beautiful customized plate with the baby’s footprints, name and birth information to serve as a timeless reminder of their baby’s brief yet profound life.

Our hearts ache at this cruel reality, but are also filled with love and admiration for people like Sarah Adams, who has turned her own loss into something that does so much good for other’s affected by it. (Read Sarah and sweet Mamie’s story here.)

In less than a few years, Mamie’s Poppy Plates are now offered, free of charge, in dozens of hospitals across Arkansas, Texas, and Tennessee. The Race to Remember fundraiser organizes hundreds of families who walk/run in memory of a baby who was taken from them way too soon. This year’s event, held at Dickey Stephen’s Park in NLR, and was a joyous occasion filled with hope, love and lots of laughter, and we were humbled and honored to be a part of it.

Pinching Tails & Snapping Pics

Events

Last night was our first crawfish boil and we had a blast! The smart folks at Price Waterhouse Coopers booked us for their annual customer/employee appreciation event at Maumelle Park and they don’t skimp on a party. There were plenty of delicious mudbugs, catfish, beer, bouncy houses and for the first time ever, a photo booth! Everyone loved getting their picture made and leaving with a fun photo strip memento of the tasty occasion. And since we’re no stranger to crawfish boils ourselves, we had plenty of antennae & eye stalking hats & props to match the theme of the night. (We were also pretty excited to have a real live hedgehog pose in our booth as well!)

Heart Healthy Women in a Photo Booth

Heart Healthy Women in a Photo Booth

Events Inspiration

We were beyond honored to participate in the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women luncheon, a national event held in cities across the country to help raise awareness of heart disease as the number one killer of women. Being women ourselves, this cause is especially important to us. While the event was beautifully decorated and fabulously fun, it’s purpose is quite serious. These passionate people at the AHA are empowering women to take charge of their heart health by helping identify risk factors and encouraging healthier lifestyle choices. There were many survivors at the event- and even in our booth- and it really put things into perspective for us… Let’s change the stats girls- 1 in 3 is way too high!!!

Taste of the Rock

Taste of the Rock

Events

Photobooth Etc is proud to announce it’s official inclusion into the club of Arkansas businesses: we joined The Little Rock Chamber! We are super excited about the exposure and connections the Chamber provides it’s members, and the ribbon cutting is sure to be a big hit.

Being a chamber member also gets us some extra bookings at some of the hippest events in town. Like last night’s Taste of the Rock at The River Market.

Celebrating it’s 10th year, The Chamber’s TASTE OF THE ROCK, is a food and beverage showcase where guests can sample cuisine from Chamber member restaurants and caterers. And this year, also get their picture made and a great take home from the party!

We created several really cute “western” theme props and had a blast at the event. Here are some cute pics from last night…

Mainstream Technologies Proves Photo Booth Fun at Corporate Event

Mainstream Technologies Proves Photo Booth Fun at Corporate Event

Events

Mainstream Technologies is a highly respected custom software and hosting company in Little Rock with a focus on client satisfaction and superior customer service. They hold several customer apprecition events and last night we were excited to be included. Mainstream realized that while mousepads and koozies are great, there’s nothing better than a photo strip with the Maintsream logo on it to offer as a branded promotional take away. Not only did their customers love dressing up and smiling for the camera (after just a little coaxing by the best sales rep in world, Phil Bibbs) this kind of party favor is on for the fridge, not the cluttered desk drawer.
No wonder every single one of their employees said Mainstream was the best job they’ve ever had: the owners know how to celebrate hard work with some good old fashioned fun! We both left the event kinda wanting a job there.. 🙂 (kidding Inuvo and Dillards!)

Photobooth Etc Goes Science & High-Tech at UCA

Photobooth Etc Goes Science & High-Tech at UCA

Events

Saturday was very busy but also a bit nostalgic for us- having two events at our old alma mater UCA. First stop was to entertain the seriously entrepreneurial techies at BarCamp for their annual creative “un-conference” at the College of Business Building. We were pretty excited to be there with a lot of friends and similar-minded people who enjoy learning from each other. And we even made the local paper!

After a successful lunch there we headed across campus to the Lewis Science Center to play dress up with the 8th grade “Girls of Promise” sponsored by the Women’s Foundation of Central Arkansas. Girls of Promise program is a one-day conference designed to introduce eighth-grade girls to careers in economics, science, technology, engineering, and math. I spoke at the event last year (on mobile apps- what else?) and was thrilled to offer something a little more fun this time around. Much like the Cutter Morning Star Prom we did last weekend, these girls were really into the photo booth. Growing up in the generation of selfies, I would expect nothing less. Oh, and I finally found out what the “L” shape around the eye means- “super fierce”…

Both of these events are near and dear to our hearts and we were thrilled to be invited. Here, here to creative, scientific, technology minded people, that love to be silly in a photo booth!

Stars of the Arkansas Hospitality Industry!

Stars of the Arkansas Hospitality Industry!

Events

Last night Photobooth Etc had the pleasure of entertaining the spectacular and super hospitable patrons of the Arkansas Hospitality Association’s Stars of the Industry Gala, held at the Clinton Presidential Center. This was our first event at the Clinton Library’s Great Hall, and boy was it grand! The management and staff there were super helpful- Phillip, the banquet manager even helped us cart up all our stuff- and we really enjoyed the beautiful view of the city!

But enough about the venue, on to the great pics we got of the AWESOME folks in Arkansas’s hospitality industry! What a fun group! The guys are the best of the best employees and managers; those that go above and beyond to make their coworkers and customers (that would be us) feel privileged to know them. The hospitality industry is the second largest in Arkansas providing over 100,000 jobs and bringing in over $5.6 BILLION to our state!

We were honored to serve these kind people who have fed, lodged, and entertained us here at home and hope they had a good time taking fun pics in our booth. Here’s a sneak pic of some of Arkansas’s best.

View and download links to all the high res images here! And thanks AHA, for sharing your good times with us!!!

Chocolate Fantasy Ball was truly a ball!

Chocolate Fantasy Ball was truly a ball!

Events

This weekend Photobooth Etc had the honor of entertaining the lovely guests of the 2014 Chocolate Fantasy Ball benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas. The event was as spectacular as the charity itself, which has for over 33 years been creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. It’s a charity near and dear to our hearts and we were so pleased to see such a fantastic turnout despite the wintery weather.

All guests will be able to download the high-res images of their photos via a secure download link provided by the RMHCA, but for the purpose of our own indulgence, we decided to feature some of our favorite photos of the night, in no particular order.

PhotoBooth Etc at the Arkansas Bridal Fair!

PhotoBooth Etc at the Arkansas Bridal Fair!

Events

Well we survived our first Bridal Fair and absolutely LOVED IT. The Arkansas Bridal Fair was this weekend at the Statehouse Convention Center and we were so proud to debut our new photo booth to all the lovely brides across the state- all 3,000 of them! We spent Friday night meeting and greeting with the vendors at the Clinton Library and met some really great people. This industry is full of folks who like to have a good time- which is why we fit in so well I guess- and even though there were a few photo booth guys there we all ended up chatting and sharing stories like we were best friends. A little competition is a good thing, right?

Then Saturday we were up early to set up our little corner of the massive room. We didn’t want to be too prop heavy but at the same time showcase some of the variety we have to offer; I think it turned out pretty cute!

We walked around in complete awe of some of the vendor showcases; beautiful flowers, photography, colors, cakes, invitations, linens; the list goes on and on….

We were impressed to say the least, but happy our work was limited to some props and backdrops. 🙂

Then Sunday was the big day and the brides started pouring in at 12 sharp! After all the work leading up to this day, I have to say it was so worth it. They were happy and excited and beautiful- we loved meeting each of them! We’ll be posting some of our favorite photo booth shots to our event portfolio but I was able a snap a few “behind the scenes” pics to capture the mood and adorableness of a few of them. It was so much fun!
