To help prevent, treat and defeat these diseases — America’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers — they fund cutting-edge research, conduct lifesaving public and professional educational programs, and advocate to protect public health.
Go Red for Women
Big Brother Big Sisters are a one-to-one mentoring organization that provides positive role models in the lives of children.
The Big Event
Their mission is to provide a home away from home that serves and sustains families of children being treated at area hospitals and support community programs that serve the needs of children.
Chocolate Fantasy Ball
Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States. More than 10 million Americans are unknowing, symptomless carriers of a defective CF gene. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is committed to finding new therapies and ultimately a cure for CF.
Taste of the Finest
Mamie’s Poppy Plates is a donation supported non-profit, whose mission is to provide tangible mementos to families who suffer stillbirth or infant death. Keepsake plates provided at no charge to Arkansas families and families who experience a loss at adopted hospitals.
Race to Remember
The Arkansas Ovarian Cancer Coalition exists with the purpose to educate the public about the signs and symptoms affecting the women of Arkansas.
Teal Light Night
The Family Promise of Pulaski County enables religious groups to work collectively to unite hearts and hands, providing shelter, meals, and compassionate assistance for families in need.
Running of the Bulls
The Arkansas Muscular Dystrophy Association provides services for over 800 people living in Arkansas who suffer from one of 43 neuromuscular dystrophy diseases, including ALS (Lou-Gehrig’s Disease). The Gala is an event to raise funds to benefit families living with neuromuscular diseases.
