MDA Passport to a Cure Gala Photo Booth

MDA Passport to a Cure Gala Photo Booth

Events Nonprofit

Photobooth Etc. had the honor of being part of the MDA’s Passport to a Cure Gala at Embassy Suites in Little Rock.  The Gala is an event to raise funds to benefit families living with neuromuscular diseases. The evening began with a reception including cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, silent auction and entertainment (including our awesome Photo Booth)!  The beautiful, Miss Arkansas Loren Mcdaniel, served as the emcee for the night honoring Dr. Stacy Rudnicki.  It was truly a pleasure to be in attendance in support of this wonderful organization.  #webelieveinmuscle

Events Susan G. Komen

It was such an honor to work with the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Ozark yesterday to help photograph their Paint the Park Pink.  Huge thanks to Delta Dental for sponsoring the photo booth for the fun and worthwhile event!

Thank you to everyone who attended for supporting the Komen Mission in the River Valley!

Events

Who knew that Fall was going to be our busiest season!!! We’ve had such an influx of events lately it’s a wonder we can still hold our day jobs. From weddings to wine, Elvis to education; our little booth has snapped thousands of lips & mustaches in the past few weeks!

And lucky us, two of those events just happened to center around one of our favorite red or white beverage- wine! Big Brothers & Big Sister of Central Arkansas impressed more than 500 women in Little Rock with their lavishly decorated Wine, Women & Shoes event last Thursday, and The American Heart Association turned Dickey Stephens baseball park into a Wine Festival straight out of Napa. Both charitable events raised thousands of dollars for their cause and thanked their attendees with delicious wine & fabulous auction items. We even had a few sips on the job! Just don’t tell our boss… 🙂

We also really enjoyed getting to design the 4×6 layouts for these events, and just like the charities, we can’t pick a favorite. (Although I think we got the backdrops mixed up…)

And finally, what you’ve all been waiting for and what a Photo Booth couldn’t exist without: people with props! We’re not trying to brag or anything, but we think our booth takes some of the bests pictures in the industry… Going the extra mile to help position our posers really makes a difference in the quality and composition of the pics- that photography class in college is really paying off in the biz! And of course, our lovely subjects are so darn photogenic…

We haven’t posted in a while because we’ve both been on a much needed vacation! We worked back-to-back events last Thursday & Friday and now that we’re home, it’s so much fun to look back on the pics and be thankful for getting to be a part of these wonderful events.

Thursday might was Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Arkansas “Toast & Roast” of the title winning Arkansas Razorback basketball coach, Mr. Nolan Richardson! (Of course we were pretty excited that he got his picture made in our booth…)

And Hannah and all the people who put on the Roast were so much fun to work with!!!

But they could not do what they do without the charitable giving of all the folks in Arkansas who support the organization.

And these kids are part of BBBS’s “Big Role Model” program- who spend their junior year of high school volunteering and providing an example of excellence in the communities they serve. Props to this group- they are awesome kids!

Overall, the event was super fun & raised a lot of money for Big Brothers, Big Sisters, which is such an important cause. (We can not wait for their Wine, Women & Shoes benefit next month! Ladies, get your tickets now!!!)

Then Friday night was an equally fabulous event- The Taste of the Finest– benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation! This was our first event at the Metroplex, and while I haven’t seen it empty- it was so. very. nice. The black and white decor, delicious food from all over the state, and always fun band, Tragikly White, made for the best time!

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. An estimated 30,000 children and adults in the United States have cystic fibrosis, and the CF Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure. This event did a great job at raising awareness of CF and the lives it touches every year. While CF is obviously no laughing matter, it’s nice to have fun pictures to celebrate the great Arkansans who donate their time & money in support of this cause.

Back-to-back nights of two of the most reputable charity events in Arkansas… We absolutely love getting to be a part of this & thank all of you for supporting such life-changing causes.

Race to Remember

Race to Remember

Uncategorized

Without a doubt, last weekend’s Race to Remember was one of the most heart-felt events we’ve ever worked.

Mamie’s Poppy Plates, the non-profit organization behind the charitable race, works to provide a tangible memento to families who suffer stillbirth or infant death.  They create a beautiful customized plate with the baby’s footprints, name and birth information to serve as a timeless reminder of their baby’s brief yet profound life.

Our hearts ache at this cruel reality, but are also filled with love and admiration for people like Sarah Adams, who has turned her own loss into something that does so much good for other’s affected by it. (Read Sarah and sweet Mamie’s story here.)

In less than a few years, Mamie’s Poppy Plates are now offered, free of charge, in dozens of hospitals across Arkansas, Texas, and Tennessee. The Race to Remember fundraiser organizes hundreds of families who walk/run in memory of a baby who was taken from them way too soon. This year’s event, held at Dickey Stephen’s Park in NLR, and was a joyous occasion filled with hope, love and lots of laughter, and we were humbled and honored to be a part of it.

Heart Healthy Women in a Photo Booth

Heart Healthy Women in a Photo Booth

Events Inspiration

We were beyond honored to participate in the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women luncheon, a national event held in cities across the country to help raise awareness of heart disease as the number one killer of women. Being women ourselves, this cause is especially important to us. While the event was beautifully decorated and fabulously fun, it’s purpose is quite serious. These passionate people at the AHA are empowering women to take charge of their heart health by helping identify risk factors and encouraging healthier lifestyle choices. There were many survivors at the event- and even in our booth- and it really put things into perspective for us… Let’s change the stats girls- 1 in 3 is way too high!!!
