Getting our prom on!

Getting our prom on!

Events

Saturday night was a major milestone for Photobooth Etc- our first prom! Doesn’t everyone remember their first? The first “adult” social event; the first time taking the car out after dark or limo ride; the first real dress-up affair; and many other firsts we can think of…

For us, it was also our first time using this thing:

and man is it nice! What normally would have taken us at least 4-5 trips into the lobby and up the elevator, our brand new Rock and Roller multi-cart is a lifesaver!

And as for the prom, well it was pretty great too. Cutter Morning Star is a small school in Hot Springs, AR with less than 100 junior and senior students. But the event didn’t seem small to us and we were busy the entire two hours. They had an awesome room at the top of the Clarion Hotel with a spectacular view of Lake Hamilton. Their theme was also very cute: “Prom Confidential,” and we were happy with how the photo strips turned out with their logo. The teens were very polite and dressed to the nines- and boy can some of them dance!

I was impressed and just a little jealous I couldn’t join in on the fun! 🙂

They also took full advantage of our prop table which was slightly hard to keep tidy:

Even the teachers joined in on the dress up fun!

And these kids knew how to work the photo booth camera… The faces we captured were simply priceless!

I finally know the meaning of the duck face- I can’t wait to practice it!

But enough of the boring snapshots, let’s take a look at some of these glamours teens and their lovely props, shall we? (Not so confidential now are we CMS? 🙂 )

You can tell these are everyone’s favorite teachers!

The tongue out pose is also a favorite of teens these days I noticed… I believe this one is called the “frog face”. How very Miley of them…

The invention of the teenager was a mistake. Once you identify a period of life in which people get to stay out late but don’t have to pay taxes – naturally, no one wants to live any other way. ~Judith Martin

In all seriousness though, these teens were awesome and had a blast using the booth. And I can for sure say provided some of the most colorful shots we’ve taken so far. Thanks, CMS, for letting two old gals live vicariously through you and your wonderful prom night!
